Water temperature requirement for hot water baseboard

Dec 23, 2010· I am converting from Oil to Gas. 2500 sq ft house with 150 linear feet of hot water baseboard new. I was looking into high efficiency 90%+ AFUE gas boiler model when one plumber suggested that I will not get the efficiency from those boiler because hot water baseboard use high temperature water. Instead, I should stick with conventional vent through chimney model.

What Temperature Should A Central Heating Boiler Be Set To?

Oct 08, 2017· While radiators will get hot quicker if the boiler thermostat is set at a higher temperature, may not condense, which reduce its efficiency by 10 20my conventional central heating system 4.: Bun Bun 1: 4.2KHot Water Heating Systems: Transitioning from Gravity https://Dec 09, 2010· Hot water systems have long been a preferred way of transferring heat from a central point (a boiler) to remote spaces or rooms where heat is needed. The first hot water heating systems were gravity systems. When water is heated, it increases in volume; hence it becomes lighter and rises. Simultaneously cooler, heavier water falls. This is the principle on which gravity

Loop system hot-water heating Q&A

Jun 20, 2014· If you don't have enough heat in a room, you can always raise the boiler temperature a bit to get a higher average water temperature and more heat. The danger of installing too much fin-tube is that the water temperature will drop more than 20 degrees F and be too cold at the end of the loop.

How to Care for Your Hot Water Heating System - dummies

Most hot water systems have a single gauge that measures three things: pressure, temperature, and altitude (the height of the water in the system). Monitoring the pressure is important. Most boilers run with only 12 to 15 pounds of pressure. The boiler can become seriously damaged and even dangerous if the pressure exceeds 30 pounds.
